Want to know what the characters of the new Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc will look like? Well, as it turns out, Bleach themselves have that ready just for us. Just read on below.

All the Character Designs You Could Ever Want

"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" character list.
Everyone looking their best for the last arc.

The official website for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has just released a whole bunch of character designs. Not only do we get to see what Ichigo Kurosaki himself will look like in this final arc, but also his immediate friends from Karakura Town. His allies in theSoul Society are also present, but they’re not the only ones accounted for. We also finally get to see the Quincies of the Wandenreich (or the “Invisible Empire” if you directly translate their Japanese name). They’re a rather odd-looking bunch, but frankly no more so than the captains of Soul Society. Really, the only thing that’s missing is their voices. Fortunately, they actually list the Japanese voice talents for them, so if you’re familiar with their voices from other anime, you can already imagine what they would sound like. You can see a small sample of what I mean below:

"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Ichigo Kurosaki character design.
It’s kind of funny how even after the entirety of Bleach, he’s still just a Substitute Shinigami.
"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Uryu Ishida character design.
“Destroyer”? Quite the ominous affiliation you have there, don’t you?
"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Busby character design.
Ah, I see Tite Kubo’s command of non-Japanese names is at work here.
"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Bambietta Bustervine character design.
Another brilliant example of Tite Kubo’s unique take on…Italian/English names?

You can check out the full cast of characters and their designs on the official website link above. Or you can also wait for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War to make its debut sometime in October 2022. Unfortunately, we still don’t actually know which anime streaming service will stream it yet. It’s likely going to be Crunchyroll, but even that isn’t certain. Tune back in later to find out when we do.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War ~ Details

Very heavy on the opera there.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is the latest and final season of the Bleach anime, which is itself the anime adaptation of the supernatural adventure manga of the same name by Tite Kubo (Zombiepowder, Burn the Witch). Pierrot (Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Ghoul) is the animation studio behind this last season of the anime. Tomohisa Taguchi (Akudama Drive) is the director this time, taking over from Noriyuki Abe (Yu Yu Hakusho) of the previous seasons. Tagushi is also the co-writer alongside Masaki Hiramatsu. Shirō Sagisu composes the music. Lastly, Viz Media licensed this anime for its NA release. Since, you know, they were the ones licensing the original manga for Shonen Jump.

As for what Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is about? Well, Viz Media has an official but short synopsis for this last season of Bleach in the video description of their official trailer. Check it out bleow:

“The Quincy King has arrived. Ichigo, please save Soul Society.”
