Endless Ocean Luminous will be the third and latest entry in the Endless Ocean series of scuba diving adventure video games. Admittedly, this will probably not mean a whole lot to most modern gamers. After all, the first Endless Ocean game came out in NA back on January 21, 2008, for the Nintendo Wii. Yes, the Wii, if anyone recalls that old motion sensor console. And yet, for those of us who have a fondness for the ocean and all the life in it, that game provided the ultimate scuba diving experience in video game form. It’s certainly a game worth remembering.

And if Endless Ocean Luminous is anything to go on, it looks like we’re going to get another amazing undersea adventure. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out the new trailer for the game from Nintendo, and see what an undersea adventure looks like on the Nintendo Switch for yourself?

Endless Ocean Luminous: Details

Great. Now Sebastian’s voice won’t leave my head.

At Nintendo Direct 2024, Nintendo is proud to announce Endless Ocean Luminous via that YouTube trailer above. As I said before, this will be the third and latest entry in the Endless Ocean series. As you can see in the trailer, it takes advantage of the massively improved graphics of the Nintendo Switch. At least, over the old Nintendo Wii. Who knows what this game would look like on a PS5 or Xbox Series S/X, but I digress, since this is a Nintendo Switch exclusive. In spite of that though, the graphics still look impressively realistic. Both the water effects and the textures still look pretty good, and the gameplay looks solid. It certainly looks like a game for the scuba diver in all of us.

Fortunately, it won’t be long until we can play this oceanic adventure game for ourselves. According to that trailer, Endless Ocean Luminous will cast off on May 2, 2024. You can preorder this game right now on the Nintendo eShop for $49.99.
