[Warning: contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Chapter 20. Read on at your own risk!]

Fans of the hit Disney+ series have fallen in love with that little green guy named Grogu. From his cute antics to his connection with the Force that foundling is meant for something great. But one really big question remained about Grogu and that was, who saved him from Order 66? Well in the latest episode of The Mandalorian, “The Foundling” we finally got that answer and it was a familiar face but not one you expected.

Grogu Is Saved By Ahmed Best

It took us until halfway through the third season of The Mandalorian but we now know who saved Grogu during order 66. From Mace Windu to Rex there were a lot of theories out there but our rescuer actually comes from the Star Wars game show Jedi: Temple Challenge. Of course, that is Jedi Master Kelleran Beq who is played by the actor that brought Jar Jar Binks to life, Ahmed Best.

You read that right, Ahmed Best has returned to Star Wars and I freaking love it. When Best first came to the Star Wars world as the Gungan Jar Jar Binks in The Phantom Menace he was met by hate from toxic fans that just about drove him to take his own life. Now he is the Jedi that saved Grogu and is a hero. I hope Best gets the love that he deserves and that we see more about Jedi Master Kelleran Beq in the future.
