Well, it looks like Crunchyroll is doubling down on the anime collaborations these days, this time with BoxLunch. What’s more, they’re even bringing something special to the stores. What am I talking about? Well, are you all interested in photo ops with My Hero Academia, by any chance?

BoxLunch Up For My Hero Academia Photo Ops?

Man, this is a missed opportunity for Crunchyroll-hime to wear BoxLunch merch.

Pop culture (not to mention gift and novelty) retail store BoxLunch is proud to announce their new collaboration with Crunchyroll. As part of this collaboration, select BoxLunch stores will host My Hero Academia photo op events. These photo ops will use special sets based on Class 1-A‘s classroom, and feature Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Ochaco Uraraka sitting in the background of said set. You can check out what it looks like below:

Love the “Plus ultra” motto written on that blackboard there.

My Hero Academia isn’t the only anime to get a photo op event though. Select BoxLunch stores will also host Jujutsu Kaisen photo op events as well. These photo op events will consist of a similar setup to the one for My Hero Academia. You just take a picture in front of an anime background, this time featuring Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and other exorcists from both the Tokyo and Kyoto branches of Japan’s Jujutsu schools. You can check out a sample image of one such Jujutsu Kaisen photo op set below:

A bit 2D compared to the other set, but then, what isn’t 2D here?

Now you might be wondering: exactly which BoxLunch stores will have these photo op sets? Either for My Hero Academia or Jujutsu Kaisen? You know, because I’ve been mentioning “select” stores all this time? Well, as it turns out, BoxLunch themselves have been kind enough to provide us with a full list of stores where these photo op events will take place in. Check that list out below:
