Well, it looks like we’re going to see Star Wars: Visions a lot sooner than we had thought. Or at least, we’re going to get a taste of it.

What we anime fans have been long waiting for.

Lucasfilm and Anime Expo Lite 2021 officially announce on June 16, 2021 that on Saturday, July 3, 2021; they’ll finally be giving us a sneak preview of Star Wars: Visions ahead of its actual Disney+ release. The sneak preview will last around 30 minutes starting from 3:00 P.M. (PST). Unfortunately, we have no information on what exactly this sneak preview entails.

Even more unfortunately, we still don’t have a specific release date for Star Wars: Visions. All we know is that this first official Star Wars anime ever will debut on Disney+ sometime later this year in 2021. Perhaps the sneak preview itself will give us that information? Well, we can hope it will.

The place to see the first Star Wars anime. Or at least, a sneak peek at it.

Aside from the sneak peek of Star Wars: Visions itself, Anime Expo Lite 2021 has a bit more in store for that little event. Chastity Vicencio, “pop culture maven”, will be hosting this event alongside Lucasfilm’s Jacqui Lopez (Executive Producer), , James Waugh (Executive Producer), Josh Rimes (Executive Producer), and Qubic Pictures’ Justin Leach (Co-Executive Producer) and Kanako Shirasaki (Producer). Presumably, they will give us a hint at the production process behind the anime. The full synopsis of the event is as follows:

Lucasfilms’ Star Wars: Visions is an upcoming anthology of animated shorts celebrating Star Wars through the lens of the world’s best anime creators and storytellers. Tune in for a sneak peek that will leave yo excited for this all-new vision of the galaxy far, far away!

Conclusion

Anime Expo Lite 2021 will show off a 30-minute sneak preview of Star Wars: Visions on July 3, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. (PST). We’re not sure what the preview will entail, but it is the first official Star Wars anime, after all. It’s probably going to be spectacular. Plus, we may even find out its Disney+ premiere date then.
