Wednesday is one of the most popular and well-received series on Netflix, and for good reason. With a mixture of dark fantasy and just as dark comedy, Wednesday Addams has captured the attention of a very large and devoted fanbase. It perfectly explains why Netflix announced a season 2 for this series back in January 2023. It also perfectly explains why Mattel wants to make a line of Wednesday Addams dolls. Yes, you read that right.

Mattel and Amazon MGM Studios are proud to announce that they are entering a multi-year licensing deal involving Wednesday. You know, because MGM (and by extension Amazon) owns the rights to the Addams Family franchise. And what does this deal involve, you might ask? Apparently, it’s all due to Mattel really wanting to have a line of creepy dolls.

Apparently, sometime in 2024, Mattel will release a line of co-branded Wednesday dolls and collector sets through its Monster High and Little People Collector properties respectively. Alas, they don’t give a more specific release date than that. Even worse, they don’t even have any sample images of what these dolls and collector sets look like. It seems that those will come later. According to Mattel and Amazon MGM Studios, that will come “soon.”

Fortunately, Mattel does tell us where to look for these dolls and collector sets when they do go on sale. It seems that there’s a Wednesday storefront on Amazon that will sell them, with other retailers also having them when they become available.

Alas, that’s it as far as these dolls for now. Tune back in to THS later to find out more about these Mattel dolls when we hear about them.
