Does anyone recall that we broke the news a while back that GKIDS acquired the rights to Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia? As it turns out, GKIDS is now finally giving us a theatrical release date for this animated comedy-drama film. Don’t believe me? Then why not watch GKIDS’s new official trailer below, and see when we’ll get to see this musical comedy’s debut in NA theaters?

Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia ~ Theatrical Release Date Details

Who knew something that looks like children’s animation can be a social commentary on libery and freedom?

GKIDS is proud to announce exactly when Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia will make its debut in NA theaters with that new official trailer above on YouTube. Alas, the trailer itself revealed nothing new. In fact, it’s literally the exact same trailer as the one from 8 months ago, also from GKIDS. Thus, we don’t see anything new on that front, although the trailer is still fairly entertaining nonetheless.

Only in the last few moments of this new official trailer do we see anything new. Specifically: the aforementioned theatrical release date. The end of that new trailer revealed that Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia will make its theatrical debut on September 1, 2023. Said release will be in its original French language with English subtitles and an English dub version. Alas, though, tickets don’t seem to be on sale yet. Tune back into THS later to find out when you can get tickets when we do.

Bonus: English Dub Cast
