Are you looking for new releases in Film or Television to watch this weekend of March 25th!? Well, THS has you covered in our weekly series! So, make sure to come back each week as we compile all of our recommendations for you to check out on your days off.

However, I wanted to break down this list and make it a little more personal. Kind of like when you walk into a book store and see the wall of employee recommendations. So, I’ll be breaking down this list as to what we at THS are watching, not necessarily every single thing releasing. So, first up Sarah!

SARAH’S WATCHING

I will be disappearing into my couch for season 2 of Bridgertonbecause I have been looking forward to this show for over a year. I dove into all the books, and Anthony and Kate’s story is one of my favorites! I’m also really excited about Season 2 of Starstruck on HBOMax/BBC. AND Degrassi is not streaming on HBOMax! I will not be leaving my couch.

JESSICA’S WATCHING

I’m catching up on Our Flag Means Death on HBO Max, and checking out Everything Everywhere All At Once in theaters! (Michelle Yeoh multiverse? Yes please!)

LAURA’S WATCHING

BRIDGERTON SEASON 2. The end.

TRAVIS’S WATCHING

I’ll be spending time this weekend on Paramount Plus. I will be splitting my time between catching the latest episode of Picard, watching the debut episode of Halo, and watching the NCAA tournament (hopefully with my Purdue Boilermakers picking up a few wins)!

SHAWN’S WATCHING

I will be heading to theaters to watch The Lost City and I can’t wait to check out 800 meters on Netflix!

KAT’S WATCHING

Obviously, I’m going to watch the new Law & Order on Peacock as I do every weekend. I’m also probably going to watch some States Of Undress on Vice TV’s website this weekend as well.

TOM’S WATCHING

Bridgerton is back so I’ll definitely be getting vapors this weekend. I’m also stoked for Outlander!

BENJY’S WATCHING

More Gargoyles binge-watching for me this weekend as I wait for the rest of The Owl House season 2 episodes to make it onto Disney+

JJ’S WATCHING

It’s an HBOMax weekend for me – finishing up DMZ and Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

NEW RELEASES – WHAT ELSE YOU CAN WATCH THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 25TH?!

NEW IN THEATERS – MARCH 25TH

The Lost City

Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.

Infinite storm

As an experienced climber (Naomi Watts) ascends Mt. Washington, she turns back before she reaches the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. But on her way down, she encounters a lone, stranded man, and takes it upon herself to get them both down the mountain before nightfall arrives and they succumb to the storm. Based on a true story.

The Duke

Set in 1961 when Kempton Bunton, a 60-year old taxi driver, stole Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. It was the first (and remains the only) theft in the Gallery’s history. Kempton sent ransom notes saying that he would return the painting on condition that the government agreed to provide television for free to the elderly. What happened next became the stuff of legend. Only 50 years later did the full story emerge – a startling revelation of how a good man set out to change the world and in so doing saved his son and his marriage.

Topside

Beneath the New York City subway system lies a shadowy labyrinth teeming with people living on the margins of society, Topside is a tense mother-daughter survivor story around the prospects of raising a child in that darkness, only to find that the world above contains much scarier prospects.

7 Days

Set-up on a pre-arranged date by their old-fashioned Indian parents, Ravi and Rita seemingly have nothing in common. The situation turns both awkward and enlightening when they find themselves trapped inside together for a week.

You Are Not My Mother

It’s the week before Halloween. Char’s bedridden mother, Angela, has mysteriously gone missing. All that remains is her abandoned car parked in the middle of a field. When Angela returns home to their North Dublin estate the following evening without explanation, it becomes clear to Char and her grandmother, Rita, that something is amiss. She might look and sound the same, but Angela’s behavior has become increasingly erratic and frightening, as if she has been replaced by a malevolent force. As Halloween approaches, a night steeped in ancient Irish myth and legend, Char must unearth the dark secrets of her family in order to uncover the truth behind her mother’s disappearance and save her, even if it means potentially losing her forever.

Mothering Sunday

On a warm spring day in 1924, house maid and foundling Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) finds herself alone on Mother’s Day. Her employers, Mr and Mrs Niven (Colin Firth and Olivia Colman), are out and she has the rare chance to spend an afternoon of abandon with her secret lover, Paul (Josh O’Connor), the boy from the manor house nearby who is Jane’s long-term love despite the fact that he’s engaged to be married to another woman, a childhood friend and daughter of his parents’ friends. But events that neither can foresee will change the course of Jane’s life forever.

It’s 1966, and it’s a testing time for the midwives. But there’s excitement, too, as the women’s rights movement intensifies. Interesting challenges lie ahead for Nonnatus House, as well as great celebrations when England wins the World Cup.

Jeff Foxworthy: the good old days

In his first solo stand-up special in 24 years, Jeff Foxworthy is remembering the good old days. Before cell phones diagnosed our illnesses, were used as cameras, kept us informed 24 hours a day, and before we had to have different passwords for everything. Jeff discusses parenting (your children and your parents), texting, the joy of getting a butt dial, conversations with his wife and recalls a much simpler time (or was it?).
