Amazon’s series adaptation of I Know What You Did Last Summer arrives just in time for Halloween!

The series will include eight episodes, with the first four dropping on Amazon Prime October 15. New episodes will then debut weekly on Fridays through November 12.

I Know What You Did Last Summer comes from writer/executive producer Sara Goodman. It’s based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel. Columbia Pictures previously adapted it into a 1997 film starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe.

Here’s the official description of the Amazon series:

One year after the fatal car accident that haunted their graduation night, a group of teenagers find themselves bound together by a dark secret and stalked by a brutal killer. As they try to piece together who’s after them, they reveal the dark side of their seemingly perfect town—and themselves. Everyone is hiding something, and uncovering the wrong secret could be deadly.

The film adaptation of I Know What You Did Last Summer left a significant cultural mark, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics.
