The upcoming Alien film from Fede Alvarez is nearing production. They kick off the shoot on March 9th in Budapest. Awhile ago, we learned that Cailee Spaeny would star in the film, now thanks to 20th Century Studios, we have additional information about the rest of the cast.

Joining Spaeny are David Jonsson (“Industry”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“Rosaline”), Spike Fearn (“The Batman”) and Aileen Wu (“Away from Home”). Fede Alvarez is directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Rodo Sayagues. Ridley Scott is on board as a producer with Michael Pruss. This is the ninth entry in the series. While we don’t have many plot details, we do have this bit of information from the studio.

In this ninth entry in the immensely popular and enduring film series, a group of young people on a distant world find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

We don’t even have a title yet, but the new Alien film is set for production next week. We should learn a bit more about it when it starts.
