One of the most cherished actors ever, Christopher Lloyd is making his way to Star Wars. The veteran actor known for myriad iconic performances has been cast in season three of The Mandalorian according to THR. The show is currently filming its third season in Southern California. The actor was listed on a call sheet for filming.
According to THR, Christopher Lloyd’s details are locked away, but it’s very much a guest-star role for one of the episodes. Of course, Lloyd played Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy and also played the Klingon Commander Krugs in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. He’s no stranger to sci-fi or genre work.
The Mandalorian has been known for bringing together different character actors or genre actors to its fold. Similarly, in season two, they had Michael Biehn in one of the more high-profile episodes.
There’s no release date for the third season of The Mandalorian, but if the previous two seasons are any indication, Holiday 2022 is a good guess.
DIsney and Lucasfilm are preparing for the launch of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which debuts on Disney+ on May 25th.
