There might not be a person or band out there that loves Halloween and spooky season more than Mercyful Fate and King Diamond. The heavy metal legends are repressing their classic second album, Don’t Break The Oath, this November. The album was initially released through Roadrunner Records in 1984, this new edition from Metal Blade celebrates the ground-breaking album’s 40th anniversary.
Here’s what Metal Blade founder and CEO Brian Slagel had to say about the reissue:

Don’t Break The Oath is a favorite around Halloween and spooky season because of the subject matter of the album. It doesn’t get much scarier than singing about demons, monsters, the devil, and whatever else we get on the record. The album is a classic of the heavy metal genre, and “Come To The Sabbath” by Mercyful Fate made it on the list of Top 30 Best Halloween Heavy Metal songs for Fright-A-Thon.
King Diamond is out on tour with his solo band for his upcoming album The Institute, taking fans to Saint Lucifer’s Hospital in 1920. The tour goes from October 15th to December 6th. You can check out tour dates and details about the tour here.
