It would appear that Netflix is doing all they can to promote their live-action adaptation of One Piece. It seems that they have high hopes for their adaptation of the hit anime and manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda. How else do you explain Netflix releasing singles for this adaptation for the promotional value? Including this second and latest single: “My Sails are Set”. Featuring none other than AURORA to boot. Who is she, you might ask? Well, let’s find out, shall we?

Now if only they could get the Going Merry‘s paint scheme right for that figurehead.

Netflix is proud to announce their second new single for their live-action adaptation of One Piece: “My Sails are Set”. This new single features the work of Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli as the composers and producers of this song. Both of them were behind the soundtrack of Netflix’s The Witcher series, so you might recognize some of their work here.

Even better: this new One Piece single features the voice of AURORA: the stage name of Norwegian singer, songwriter and record producer Aurora Aksnes. If you’re a Disney fan, you might recognize her name from the credits of Frozen II. She was the one who sang the awards-nominated song “Into the Unknown” for that Frozen sequel. Don’t believe me? Then why not give the single a listen to for yourself? Netflix has actually released the song on YouTube to further promote their upcoming One Piece adaptation. You can check it out below:

This is just making me imagine a Frozen x One Piece crossover fanfic.

This is actually pretty good timing on Netflix’s part. Mostly because it won’t be long until we can see what the live-action version of the Straw Hat Pirates will be like. Netflix’s One Piece will make its global debut on August 31, 2023. As of this writing, that’s only 3 days away, so you won’t have long to wait at all. As you might guess though, it’s a Netflix exclusive. Thus, you will need a paid Netflix subscription to see this live-action adaptation.
