The legendary, Emmy-nominated composer Angelo Badalamenti has passed away at the age of 85. He was known most for his work with David Lynch on projects like Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Mulholland Drive, and others like A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Wild At Heart, and more. He earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on Twin Peaks.
The theme for Twin Peaks won him a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance in 1991. He has over 100 credits to his name. He recently returned to work with David Lynch on Twin Peaks: The Return, where he wrote new compositions alongside the original score. Badalamenti was born on March 22, 1937, in New York City.
