Netflix has dropped the official teaser trailer for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The upcoming mystery from writer and director Rian Johnson is set to release on December 23, 2022.
This trailer gives audiences a look at the all-star cast, headlined by Daniel Craig reprising his role as Det. Benoit Blanc. Joining Craig in this new murder mystery are Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline with Kate Hudson, and also Dave Bautista.

ABOUT GLASS ONION
The first Knives Out film was released back in 2019 and was a surprise hit for both critics and audiences. This led to Netflix signing a mega-deal with Rian Johnson for the rights to two sequels. According to reports on the $400 million dollar deal, Johnson retained full creative control over the Knives Out franchise. Which was a great move given how successful the first film was. The only requirements of the deal were Daniel Craig must star in the sequels and that each film has at least the budget of the original movie, which was in the $40 million range.
The first of the two sequels, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, will release this holiday season. At this time, not much has been revealed about the plot of the film, which is to be expected for a murder mystery. The official logline from Netflix simply states.
In the follow-up to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.
