Ready to meet the new Wednesday Addams? Jenna Ortega takes you behind-the-scenes of her transformation into the iconic character for the new Netflix series.

The latest clip from Netflix features insight from Ortega, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and producer/director Tim Burton. Watch it below:

Ortega discusses her preparations for the role, including weekly fencing and cello lessons. The featurette also shows off a few clips from the series, including this very Wednesday exchange:

“Attempted murder… how would that have looked on your record?” Morticia asks.

“Terrible. Everyone would know I failed to get the job done,” Wednesday responds.

Wednesday is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

Wednesday will premiere this fall, exclusively on Netflix.
