It was one of the most pivotal scenes from Stranger Things 4 Part II when Eddie shredded “Master of Puppets” by Metallica. Now, Metallica are returning the favor and shredding alongside Eddie. Check out the video above of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo jamming to their 1986 song in Hellfire Club shirts.

The scene and song, like “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush from the first part of the season have reinvigorated popularity for “Master of Puppets” and Metallica. It’s not like Metallica needed the popularity boost, but if this spawns a new generation of heavy metal fans, then that’s always a good thing.

Eddie was a runaway favorite for the best new character that Stranger Things introduced. The show might only have one season left, but season four was one for the history books. It set records for streaming viewership among other things. If there’s one thing that Netflix can hang its hat on, it’s Stranger Things.
