In the trailer for Prime Video’s new film, Don’t Make Me Go, it looks like John Cho is out here trying to make everyone CRY!

Cho plays Max, a single father who discovers he has a terminal disease. So now, he decides it’s time to try and cram in all the years of love and support he will miss with his teenage daughter, Wally. However, it seems she has no idea.

With the promise of driving lessons, he convinces Wally to join him on a road trip from California to New Orleans for his 20th College Reunion. There he secretly hopes to reunite her with her mother who left them years ago.

Don’t Make Me Go is an original, emotional, and surprising journey that explores the unbreakable, and eternal bond between father and daughter. The film shows the perspective from both sides of the generational divide with heart and humor along the way.

The film is directed by Hannah Marks (Banana Split) and written by Vera Herbert (This is Us). Donald De Line, Leah Holzer, and Peter Saraf are Producing.

Starring alongside John Cho and Mia Isaac (Love Struck) are Mitchel Hope (Descendents), Jemaine Clement (Moana), Stefania LaVie Owen (Sweet Tooth), and Kaya Scodelario (Maze Runner).

The film debuted at the 2022 Tribecca Film Festival and will make its streaming debut for Prime Video on July 15th!
