Scott Hall was among the most legendary and influential professional wrestlers of all-time. The man who was Razor Ramon, got his start in the National Wrestling Alliance before heading to WCW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and finally sticking with the World Wrestling Federation in 1992. His Razor Ramon character was a gigantic part of the “New Generation” of pro wrestlers at the time. He might not have ever held a major world title, but he elevated the Intercontinental Championship to a world title level. He had a record-breaking run from 1993-1996.

In 1996, however, he and Kevin Nash set the wrestling world aflame when they made the jump from WWF to WCW. Their characters, The Outsiders, were founding members of the NWO (New World Order). That faction almost single-handedly defeated WWF in the ratings. After that period of sustained greatness, Hall rejoined the WWE. Ever since, he’s been part of TNA, WWE, and had sporadic appearances with other independent promotions.

The WWE confirmed his passing on their official Twitter account earlier today.

Hall is in the illustrious group of performers to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame multiple times, as part of the NWO, and as Razor Ramon.

The entire THS Wrestling family sends our regards to his friends and family at this difficult time.
