Disney is back at it again with the Live-Action films. This time bringing to life the beloved Aristocats. Everybody wants to be a cat, right?

DISNEY LIVE-ACTION ARISTOCATS

In a report from Deadline, a Live-Action Adaptation of The Aristocats is in early development states with Disney Studios. According to the report, Will Gluck (Peter Rabbit) and Keith Bunin (Onward) will pen the script. As well as, Gluck produced the film through his Olive Bridge Entertainment Banner.

The film is based on the 1970s animated feature which followed a family of Parisian cats, Dutchess (Eva Gabor), and her 3 kittens. Their owner leaves all of her fortunes to them. But then, a jealous butler kidnaps them and abandons them in the countryside in hopes of inheriting the fortune for himself. Lost with no idea of how to return home, Dutchess and her kittens meet Thomas O’Malley (Phil Harris), the alley cat who agrees to help them return home.

Since the film is still in very early development, not much more is known. However, a source close to Deadline revealed that since the main characters are animals the live-action film will have a similar look as Lady and the Tramp that streamed on Disney+ in 2019.
