After the Marvel/Disney merger, the fate of the Marvel shows on Netflix was up in the air. In the end, Netflix canceled fan favorites Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. It was recently announced that Luke Cage and Iron Fist are currently being recast, but what about Daredevil?

Kevin Feige has something to say about Charlie Cox’s return

Today we have some good news on the subject. In his first official comment on the fate of Daredevil, Kevin Feige has confirmed that Charlie Cox will return as the title character in the MCU. However, the when, where, and how is still uncertain.

“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”

Feige to CinemaBlend.

There have been rumors that Cox would make his triumphant return as Daredevil in the upcoming Spiderman: No Way Home film. But even Cox himself has stayed mum not wanting to ruin any sort of possibility of his return.

“Also if there was a chance of that happening in the future, I don’t want to say something that could potentially jeopardize those chances because the people high up at Marvel, maybe they see this stuff or hear what I say and maybe that influences,” Cox added. “..I love how passionate the fans are and I feel very, very, very touched that so many of them have gone online and made their voices heard about the desire for me to come back.”

Spiderman: No Way Home comes to theaters on December 17th! We’ll just have to wait until then to see if the rumors are true or if we have to wait a little longer.
