Netflix is ready to be your #1 Cowboy Bebop streaming destination.

Ahead of the platform’s live-action adaptation of the popular anime series, the original show will also stream on Netflix. All 26 episodes of the 90s anime will hit Netflix October 21.

(If you can’t wait a week, you can also stream them on Hulu now.)

That means you can watch (or re-watch) the original Cowboy Bebop anime before trying out Netflix’s live-action series, which premieres a month later on November 19.

Set in 2071, Cowboy Bebop takes place decades after a cataclysmic event forced humanity to colonize surrounding planets. In this futuristic world, the Inter Solar System Police legalize a contract system allowing bounty hunters to turn in criminals for rewards. The series follows three bounty hunters (former Red Dragon crime syndicate henchman Spike Spiegel, ex-cop Jet Black, and con artist Faye Valentine), along with kid hacker Radical Ed and “data dog” Ein.

The series premiered in 1998 in Japan, and then became the first anime broadcast by Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim in the US in 2001.

In Netflix’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the space Western, Jon Cho plays Spike, Mustafa Shakir plays Jet, and Daniella Pineda plays Faye. During the streamer’s recent virtual event TUDUM, fans got their first look at the show. Check out the opening sequence here.

The Netflix adaptation will also include a treat for fans of the anime. The original Cowboy Bebop voice cast will return for the Japanese language dub of the live-action series. Find the full list of actors reprising their roles here.
