As someone who hasn’t personally watched this, I’m confused by people in the same uniform fighting each other. Is this a civil war arc, or something like that?

The Nintendo 64 controller was totally made for Ryomen Sukuna.

So what is Jujutsu Kaisen about? Well, as I mentioned, it’s a dark fantasy story, but it’s also a supernatural action-adventure story as well. A lot of people described the show as a lot like Bleach, but with an even darker story. The official synopsis from Funimation reveals a bit more about it:

“Yuji Itadori is a high school student with amazing physical abilities, living a normal life. But one day, in order to save his schoolmate from a “curse,” he eats a special grade cursed object, “Sukuna’s Finger,” and gets the curse within his soul. Itadori, who now shares his body with the cursed spirit “Sukuna,” transfers to an institution specializing in curses, Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, to be guided by the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo… A story of a high school student who carries a curse in order to exorcise it. With no way of turning back, his fierce tale begins to unfold…”

When you have your main character eat a finger to gain cursed powers right at the very beginning, you know you’re in for a really dark fantasy show.

Conclusion

Jujutsu Kaisen is heading over to Funimation. In fact, by the time you’re reading this, the anime should already be on Funimation, since it starts streaming on October 4, 2021. It’s only for Funimation subscribers at the moment though, so you need to pay up to see it. You might want to check out Crunchyroll if you want to watch this hit dark fantasy anime for free.
