Looks like we’re finally getting more of our favorite dragon-flavored yuri slice of life anime, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, this fall. They’ve even prepared a nice song for the teaser trailer of the second season. Worthy of Snoop Dogg, really.
Crunchyroll officially announces that Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S will debut later in 2021 in the fall anime season. Unfortunately, they don’t get any more specific than that. No exact date, or anything of the sort. Only that we’ll see in sometime in autumn. And of course, that it will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide outside of Asia.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Waifu?
Some of you might be wonder what the heck I’m talking about? Well, let me tell you. Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a fantasy slice of life yuri anime featuring the titular Kobayashi and her dragon maid. How did she get a dragon maid, you might ask? Well, upon encountering an injured dragon, Kobayashi saves her life, and in turn, said dragon, named Tohru, repays this act of kindness by becoming her maid and showering her with affection. Much affection. She’s actually very blunt about the fact that she loves Kobayashi, really. It’s as adorable as it is heartwarming.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid isn’t just about sexy yuri antics though. Early on in the anime, Kobayashi and Tohru more or less adopt a young dragonet/little girl. From that point on, the anime becomes a show about a same-sex couple raising a child. But with dragons. In that respect, it’s a very LGBTQ-friendly show. It’s you’re into that blend of genres, I’d definitely recommend it to you.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S by Kyoto Animation will premier on Crunchyroll sometime in Fall 2021. We don’t have any more of an exact date for you yet. Tune in later for more news about the second season of this hilarious fantasy slice of life yuri comedy anime series.
