Star Wars fan artists can be pretty amazing. Instagram user @scadarts, however, is definitely looking to stand out when it comes to painting their Obi-Wan Kenobi portraits. Clearly, those old portraits of historical generals influenced them here.

A quartet of Obi-Wan Kenobi portraits by @scadarts.
Ah, I see these are elegant portraits for a more civilized age.

As you can see, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s distinguished, nay, elegant face fits the style and tone of these Hello There Collection portraits perfectly. Whether as a young padawan or as an aged hermit, Obi-Wan’s face looks like it was born to wear a military uniform. It’s really no wonder that these portraits have gone viral recently.

My only complaint about these otherwise incredible portraits is that the medals haven’t been altered. They’re still the same medals as on the original portraits, which says some very strange things about Obi-Wan Kenobi’s military career. Still though, that’s more of a quibble that only military nuts would agree with. Otherwise, these are fine portraits that anyone would be happy to pay for.

Ooh, Ahsoka Tano looks great in uniform.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time @scadarts posted Star Wars characters in old-style military uniform. Turns out, they’ve done an entire series of portraits in that style. Check them out:

Finn in the uniform he deserves.
Mace Windu in uniform, also by @scadarts.
This should’ve been the uniform he showed up in at Palpatine’s office.
The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda, by @scadarts as well.
Ah, yes. Din Djarin’s portrait would not be complete without Baby Yoda.
Palpatine should not look this cool in @scadarts' portrait.
Palpatine before his face melted from evil overload.
General Greivous...in a dress?
I don’t even…what?

Yep, @scadarts is definitely a talented artist here. If you want commissions for some Star Wars artwork, I highly recommend them. Especially if you’re looking for Star Wars parody art done in the style of old historical portraits.

Conclusion

@scadarts is an incredible artist. Their portraits of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the style of old historical generals are as gorgeous as they are hilarious. It’s really no wonder that they went viral. I really hope this results in more business for @scadarts. We can never have too much of that in these trying times.
