Ewan McGregor gives us his…unique take on what the new Obi-Wan TV series should be called.

A wild Obi-Wan has appeared!
Ewan McGregor captured in the act of trolling.

Ewan McGregor on the new series

On June 15, 2020; Ewan McGregor appeared for an interview on an ACE Universe podcast. During this podcast, McGregor mentioned that he’d love it if Disney would name their new series about Obi-Wan Kenobi “Obi-Wan: Hello There“. Fans will recognize that iconic line from Revenge of the Sith, thereby cementing McGregor’s reputation as a troll of the highest order.

Take a drink for every “Hello there” he utters.

For those of you who don’t know what McGregor is talking about: Disney is making a new Disney+ series starring Obi-Wan Kenobi. Details of this new series are still sparse. This new series still doesn’t even have a name. All we know is that Ewan McGregor is returning to replay his role, and that filming is going to begin early next year. At least, that’s what Disney hopes to do. There’s no guarantees where COVID-19 is concerned.

Thankfully, director Jon Favreau has already told press that they’d finished photography on The Mandalorian, Season 2 before the lockdown. It’s not that big a piece of good news, but considering the pandemic, we need all the good news we can get.

Conclusion

Now that Ewan McGregor’s (and by extension Obi-Wan Kenobi) reputation as a troll is cemented, he can now go on to conquer the internet! Praise memes, and praise the otherwise debatable Revenge of the Sith for giving us this particular meme.

Everyone thinks Obi-Wan is stuffy and proper, until they see him be trollin’.

Otherwise, stay tuned for more Obi-Wan news.
