Netflix’s drama series Ozark has been renewed for a fourth and final season.

The suspenseful crime show starring Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner will pull out all the stops for the 4th and last season. Season 4 will be a 14-episode run split into two seven-episode parts. The last season will be the final chapter of the Byrde family and will guarantee a thrilling, action-packed conclusion. 

Ozark is a dark, crime show that follows the Byrde family, who relocate from the suburbs of Chicago to the Ozark region of Missouri. There they devise a money laundering scheme, eventually getting twisted up in the local crimes in Ozark. Martin Byrde (Jason Bateman) is the father of Charlotte and Jonah, and the husband of Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney.) The Byrde family discover things are quite different from The Windy City.

Chris Mundy to bring Ozark to a close

Showrunner, writer, and executive producer Chris Mundy will return for the Season 4 of Ozark. He will be teaming up with Jason Bateman to bring the Byrde’s saga to a close. Star and executive producer, Jason Bateman, had this to say about the final 14 episodes… “A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes. I’m excited to end with a bang(s).

The massively popular series has been well-received by it’s viewers. Ozark has managed 14 Emmy nominations with two wins. Jason Bateman for Directing for a Drama Series and Julia Garner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. 

Netflix’s Ozark’s final season currently does not have a release date, most likely due to production setbacks. But it will most definitely be worth the wait.
