RUMOR: Is Hayden Christensen Returning As Anakin Skywalker? (Don’t Bet Your Credits Yet)

Some of you may have woke-up this morning to some reports (rumors) that a familiar face could be making a comeback to the new Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series. No it’s not Willrow Hood, but instead its a Jedi Obi-Wan may have helped trained a little. Yes, according to some reports from some media outlets Hayden Christensen is returning as Anakin Skywalker.

OK. Yes I know there has been a lot of rumors circulating around this series. From it being canceled to Jar Jar making an appearance, so whats another one right?. But according to a report from LRM Online Hayden Christensen is currently in talks with the series, but they are not sure how big his role will be.

“Our source shared with me that producers are currently in talks with Hayden Christensen to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series! How big of the role is still being debated, so let the theories begin.

Their source would also go on to say, “This would be of course neither confirmed nor denied by everyone at Disney and Lucasfilm including Hayden”. They also claim that this will be announced at Star Wars Celebration along with Rosario Dawson role in the rumored Ahsoka live-action series.. So like always we will have to wait and see, but I wouldn’t bet your prized Tauntaun on it.

My Thoughts

I know a lot of you are like yeah this is not true, and you know what I am one that agrees with you. Like I have said in many articles before they are all rumors until we get an official statement from the actor or Disney. I mean what can Hayden Christensen really do to help this series? We already know Anakin is now Darth Vader during this time period. So, other then a flashback here and there, what is the point?

We have already had a great story run with Obi-Wan and Anakin why keep pushing it. I am ready for some new content like the Cassian Andor series and The Mandalorian. Let’s also not forget we still don’t know what has happened with Ezra and Thrawn.
