With Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett ending tomorrow morning many Star Wars fans are already looking forward to the many series we have heading our way this year. With many excited about the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, there are many rumors flying around the Star Wars universe. From the return of Jar Jar to Obi-Wan being reacquainted with Cody we have heard a few. Well, today there is another rumor that has hit this series. Thanks to Bespin Bulletin we can add that Rupert Friend will be playing the Grand Inquisitor in the Obi-Wan series.

Rupert Friend Is Playing the Gran Inquisitor

Now first let’s give it to Bespin Bulletin, they have a pretty good track record when it comes to their exclusives. But please remember to take what you read here with a grain of salt. But thanks to a report from Bespin Bulletin it seems that actor Rupert Friend will be playing the Grand Inquisitor in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. On top of this, they are also reporting that there will be at least three more Inquisitors joining him.

“I had separate sources relay this information to me over the course of a handful of weeks, with one source initially telling me that Friend is an Inquisitor and sported white make-up, and a second source outright telling me that Friend is the Grand Inquisitor.

The sources added that there are at least three Inquisitors with Rupert Friend portraying the Grand Inquisitor along with Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit) playing an Inquisitor, and Sung Kang (Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift). Previously it was reported by Cinelinx that Kang was playing the fifth brother, and though my sources didn’t know the name of the character Kang plays, one did say that the character has a headpiece that’s somewhat similar to the one the Fifth Brother sports in Star Wars: Rebels and that he spent hours in make-up.”

Of course, none of this has been confirmed by Disney, but we did see some concept art a while back showing an Inquisitor and their ship for the Obi-Wan Series. But, the one question that I have is what is the timeframe of the Obi-Wan series next to Rebels? The reason why I ask is that we all know that the Grand Inquisitor dies in Rebels. Well, just like every other series we will find out when it happens.
