My Hero Academia is one of the biggest anime franchises in the world right now. You can tell by the sheer length of the ongoing anime series by studio Bones (Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mob Psycho 100) right now, which as of this writing stands at 154 episodes (plus nine OVAs) spanning seven seasons. You can tell based on that alone that mangaka Kohei Horikoshi (Oumagadoki Zoo, Barrage) has a hit on his hands. However, not only that, but there are currently no less than four anime films in the franchise. Alas, only three of them have made it to NA shores thus far, with the fourth in the series, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, still being a Japan-only release ever since its debut in Japanese theaters nationwide on August 2, 2024.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next ~ Beyond Fest Details
Beyond Fest film festival is proud to announce that My Hero Academia: You’re Next will be part of its soon to be announced 2024 festival lineup. This screening of the anime film, along with all others, will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Japanese voice actors Daiki Yamashita (voice of Izuku Midoriya) and Kenta Miyake (voice of All Might and Dark Might) will both attend this screening. In fact, Beyond Fest founder Christian Parkes has a few words to say about that you can read below:
It’s a true honor to have such a revered partner as Toho International at this year’s Beyond Fest, they represent everything we love in Cinema. My Hero Academia: You’re Next is absolutely electric, and being able to bring Daiki Yamashita and Kenta Miyake to the US is a dream for us all, it’s going to be an incredibly special event.
Fortunately, even if you can attend Beyond Fest, you won’t have long to wait to watch this anime film. My Hero Academia: You’re Next will make its first theatrical run in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, October 11, 2024. The screening will be in both Japanese audio with English subtitles, and English dub. Thus, you will have your pick of which version to watch.
