Have you ever wanted to wear clothes featuring My Hero Academia as its running theme? Or perhaps you’re a diehard basketball fan who wants to show your support for the NBA? Well, good news for both sets of fans, anime and sports alike: you can soon do both all at once. All thanks mostly to Crunchyroll and the NBA, of course.

My Hero Academia x NBA Collab: Details

My Hero Academia x NBA collaboration key visual.
You might not want to smash that ball that hard there, All Might. We still want a court/stadium standing afterwards, after all.

My Hero Academia, TOHO Animation, Crunchyroll, the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBALAB, and HYPERFLY are proud to announce a collaboration between them all. What for, you might ask? Why, for a fashion collab, of course. Apparently, this collaboration will be for a line of “one-of-a-kind, must-have line of streetwear for fans”. According to them, at least some of this streetwear will consist of “t-shirts, hoodies, and satin jackets”. Unfortunately, they don’t give us any idea of what the pricing will be like, although you can probably bet that they’ll be pretty expensive.

The only concrete details we have so far is that this collab will involve major My Hero Academia characters featured very prominently on wearable merchandise for 9 very specific NBA teams, including the LA Lakers, Miami Heat, and more. Here’s the full list below:

  • The Los Angeles Lakers
  • Golden State Warriors
  • Chicago Bulls
  • Boston Celtics
  • Philadelphia 76ers
  • New York Knicks
  • Miami Heat
  • Dallas Mavericks
  • Portland Trail Blazers

You can purchase this My Hero Academia x NBA collab streetwear at NBA Con in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from July 7-9, 2023. Fortunately, even if you miss NBA Con or have no desire to attend, you can still get that streetwear later sometime in Fall 2023 in the USA and Canada. Not only will the Crunchyroll Store have them, but also approved vendors like NBAStore.com, LIDS.com, and HYPERFLY.com. So if you want these collectible My Hero Academia streetwear, then all you need to do is wait a few months after NBA Con, and then you can also find out how expensive they are.
