Deadpool 3 started filming in early May, but was forced to shut down due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. In that short time, we got several set photos including one showing off Wolverine in his yellow costume. We also saw other pictures of the two characters fighting it out in front of a gigantic 20th Century Fox logo.
The picture of Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds from the set nearly broke the internet. Now, it appears that we might have another rumor that could destroy the internet. According to The DisInsider, Doctor Doom will make an appearance in the film. Now it might not be the Doctor Doom that you think. Instead of a new version that could be coming with the upcoming Fantastic Four film, it’s the Doctor Doom from the 2005 Fantastic Four film played by Julian McMahon.
Deadpool 3 – Other Rumored Characters
We’ve heard rumors for weeks now that the villain of Deadpool 3 was someone from the MCU that we’ve already seen before. With the merger between 20th Century Fox and Disney, that makes the 2005 Fantastic Four film part of the MCU technically. So, this very well could be the eventual villain for Deadpool 3. Other candidates include Emma Corrin‘s mystery character that is rumored to be Cassandra Nova.
That rumor means that Deadpool 3 will take us back to the Universe-838, which is the one shown in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. There’s also rumored cameos and appearances from plenty of other characters, with the story looking like it takes aim at the Fox side of Marvel from before the merger.
Rumor has it that characters like Jessica Alba’s Sue Storm, Ian McKellen’s Magneto, and others take aim at our current Earth, for the meddling that went on in Multiverse of Madness. We already know that Jennifer Garner‘s Elektra is showing up in the film alongside Negasonic Teenage Warhead from the first two films.
Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on May 3rd, 2024. What do you think of this new rumor? Are you excited about the inclusion of Doctor Doom in Deadpool 3? Let us know in the comments below!
