As it turns out, the year 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Yes, it really has been 30 years since that very first Power Rangers show made its debut all the way back in August 28, 1993. Power Rangers fans will likely not forget this day. Not only that, but since BOOM! Studios publishes all the Power Rangers comics, they haven’t forgotten it either. In fact, they even have a special comic book planned for us just to celebrate the occasion. What could it be about, you might ask? Well, let’s find out together, shall we?

BOOM! Studios is proud to announce Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Comic Special for the aforementioned 30th anniversary of that very first entry in the Power Rangers franchise. This comic will be an anthology comic consisting of 5 separate stories. Each story will apparently pay “homage to the legacy of the Rangers”.

Ryan Parrott (Rogue Sun), Mat Groom (Inferno Girl Red), the original Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson and Matt Hotson (Titans), Maria Ingrande Mora (Fragile Remedy), and Melissa Flores are the writers behind Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Comic Special. Meanwhile, Hendry Prasetya (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Eleonora Carlini (Go Go Power Rangers), Marco Renna (Mighty Morphin), and Jo Mi-Gyeong (Eve) are the artists behind it. Lastly, Dan Mora (Once & Future) is the main cover artist, with variants covers by Rian Gonzales (Batgirls), Jamal Campbell (Nightwing), Bon Bernardo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Miguel Mercado (Go Go Power Rangers), and Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Comic Special will go on sale on August 30, 2023. You can preorder it at your local comic book shop. If you’re fine with the digital version though, then you can download the comic on that release day from digital content providers like comiXology, iBooks, Google Play, and Kindle.
