2022 has been a banner year for Film and Television. With so many great shows and movies coming out, it’s natural that those shows would have amazing moments. However, if you don’t want to be spoiled for some of these great moments, don’t look any further. With that being said, here are the Top 10 Satisfying Film/TV Moments In 2022.

***SPOILER WARNING AHEAD***

10. The Northman Ends In A Volcano

For a movie as epic and expansive as The Northman, Robert Eggers gave us a huge finale that takes place inside a volcano. Yes, the final fight is in a volcano, and it’s about as awesome as it sounds. Amleth takes on his dastardly uncle Fjolnir for his family’s birthright. Too many people missed out on the power and majesty of this film.

9. Eddie Shreds For All Of Us In Stranger Things 4

It was a source of great speculation about what song Eddie Munson would be shredding to after the trailer for Stranger Things 4 came out. We didn’t even know who Eddie was then, but after the break between Part 1 and Part 2 of the show, the entire world wondered what he’d be shredding to. We did an entire article speculating about what song, but this moment cemented Eddie Munson as a fan-favorite character from Netflix’s most popular show.

8. “The Motorcycle Chase” From Barry Season Three

If you live in Los Angeles, the freeways are the city’s lifeblood. Barry took that element and created one of the finest chase scenes put on film. This chase doesn’t follow conventional rules like adding music or a score; the score is what’s around Barry as he goes in and out of traffic. If Bill Hader ever wants to direct Tom Cruise or any other action film, the studios should come calling.

7. Peacemaker Is The Only Show Where You Don’t Skip The Credits

Do you really want to, do you really want to taste it?

Peacemaker‘s opening credits are about as James Gunn as they come. John Cena and the rest of the cast interpretive dance their way through it. It’s incredibly surprising that everyone kept a straight face the entire time. In a world where streaming services offer you the option to skip the credits, this is one that you never will.

6. Prey Gives Us A Final Fight Fitting Of The Predator

Prey was a long-time return to form for the Predator. Naturally, it took going back to basics for the franchise to hit another home run. In this final fight, Naru (Amber Midthunder) takes on the Predator and has to use all her skills and savvy to outsmart the beast. It’s sad that Prey was only released on Hulu and so far, we don’t have a home video option in sight, but if you love action, you need to see Prey.

5. Doctor Strange Meets The Evil Dead In Multiverse Of Madness

If you love Sam Raimi, you probably love Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. The third act gives us one of the most Raimi-Esque moments in the film with Doctor Strange reanimating a previously dead version of Doctor Strange from another universe. The scene is dripping with style and substance with plenty of action thrown in for good measure. Seeing demons and dead souls power this version of Doctor Strange in a fight against the Scarlet Witch is icing on the cake.

4. The Batmobile Roars To Life And The Chase In The Batman

2022 might have been the year of “you have to see it in the theater to experience it properly”. In the case of The Batman, when the Batmobile roared to life, the entire theater shook, people leaped out of their seats, and jaws hit the floor. The ensuing chase is stunning. The Penguin’s commentary throughout the whole thing only takes it to another level.

Don’t get me started about when his car flips and we get one of the best shots of the Caped Crusader on film…

3. IDK, The Entire Third Act Of Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun: Maverick is the movie of 2022. We even said so in our Top 10 Movies Of 2022 List!

But really, this movie captured the attention, intrigue, and hearts of so many people; even people that should hate Top Gun: Maverick, loved it. It’s hard to pick just one moment from the whole film. It was a triumphant movie that was well worth seeing on the biggest screen, with the biggest speakers blasting. But seeing Hangman come back and save Maverick and Rooster, now that was a moment.

2. Every Cinematographer In History Would Do The Same Thing – Nope

Seeing Michael Wincott back on the big screen after a lengthy absence in Nope was a moment in itself. However, he encapsulated the human spirit, the spirit of every cinematographer in history, when he tried to make the impossible happen in Nope. The entire third act of Nope is built on moments that make you stand up and clap; this was the first of those many moments that Jordan Peele gave us. Hauntingly beautiful, it’s everything about being a filmmaker in one scene.

1. “Running Up That Hill” And Stranger Things 4 Take Over Your Social Media Feed And There Isn’t A Dry Eye In The House

Well, here it is. There’s no dispute that this pivotal scene from Stranger Things 4 involving Kate Bush‘s “Running Up That Hill” was one of the biggest pop culture moments in 2022. If you went on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media with video, people were adding “Running Up That Hill” to videos. Kate Bush made millions off streaming and people buying the song. Oh, and it was part of some of the most emotional moments in a colossal fourth season of Stranger Things.

So think back to that time in July/August when everyone was listening to this song. That’s the kind of emotional and cultural impact that Stranger Things made.

So that’s it, did your favorite moment make the list? If it didn’t let us know in the comments or on Twitter @ThatHashtagShow.
