We’ve had news that Mike Myers and Netflix were teaming up for an unannounced half-hour series. Today, we got the full details about that series and Myers’ involvement. The new show, The Pentaverate has started production and stars Mike Myers. In addition he plays a full SEVEN characters on the show. The logline goes something like this:
What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347? As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverate must never be exposed!
The show also stars: Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders, and Lydia West. It’s a limited series, so it only runs for 6 episodes, but it certainly sounds hilarious. Mike Myers hasn’t made a huge return to comedy like this in awhile, so here’s hoping it’s a good one.
