Laika has announced it’s acquiring Crumble to its live-action slate. The original script comes from No One Will Save You filmmaker Brian Duffield, who will also be serving as a director. Oscar winners Phil Lord and Chris Miller along with Aditya Sood will produce through their Lord Miller Banner. Duffield will also produce. Lucy Kitada and Nikki Baida from Lord Miller will serve as executive producers.

ABOUT CRUMBLE

According to Laika, Crumble tells the story of a married couple who go on a world-traversing adventure in the hope of finding a cure to an ancient curse.

The announcement was made today by Laika President, Live Action Film & Series Matt Levin.

Duffield has been part of several successful films as a writer, producer, and director. His latest film No One Will Save You, was a critical success. He wrote, produced, and directed Spontaneous. He also served as a producer on Cocaine Bear, as well as the upcoming Borderline movie. Duffield shared his excitement about bringing Crumble to Laika.
