You’ve all waited. You looked at descriptions from Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation for Sonic The Hedgehog 3, and now we finally know who’s voicing Shadow the Hedgehog. Keanu Reeves is joining the Sonic universe as the voice of anti-hero Shadow the Hedgehog. The news follows the CinemaCon presentation for Paramount that showed off plenty of their upcoming slate, but fans of Sonic went wild for the footage shown from the upcoming third film.

Shadow the Hedgehog made his debut in Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001 and has since become a fan-favorite character as the foil to all things good in Sonic. The Sonic movies have absolutely overperformed at the box office for Paramount grossing over $700 million globally. Jeff Fowler is back in the director’s chair for this third movie with Ben Schwartz voicing Sonic, James Mardsen, Jim Carrey, Edris Elba voicing Knuckles, and others.

Reeves has been a hot commodity in movies for past several years now. He’s appeared in blockbusters like John Wick: Chapter 4, The Matrix Resurrections, and he’s also appearing in the upcoming Good Fortune from Lionsgate and Ballerina, which is a spinoff of the John Wick series starring Ana De Armas.

John Campea was the first with the news.
