Welcome to this week’s installment of That Hashtag Show’s What To Watch, a viewing guide for new releases from this week and the upcoming weekend. I will attempt to hit all of the major new releases across theatres, television, and streaming. But of course, if I’ve missed something, please let me know in the comments. Also, be sure to let us know what you are watching this weekend in the comments or on social media.

As far as theatre releases go, it’s a bit of a lighter week. As the writers’ and actors strikes continue, there has been little promotion for films taking place. That being said, we do have one action-fueled entry premiering this week. The 4th entry in the Expendables action franchise is making its way to theatres this Friday.

The latest entry in the franchise Expend4ables, much like the third, will feature a new generation of stars joining up with the original crew. As expected the film features plenty of action, blood, and gore.

Release Date: September 22, 2023

What’s it about?: A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles. Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.

Who’s in it?: Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Sylvester Stallone, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox
