Hocus Pocus fans, this one’s for you! (Okay, it’s also for the Hannah Waddingham fans.) Funko officially debuted the Witch Mother Funko Pop! figure today.
The Witch Mother plays a brief but significant role in the Disney feature Hocus Pocus 2. The character, portrayed by Ted Lasso’s Waddingham, meets the Sanderson sisters when they’re still children. Sensing witchy potential in young Winifred, the Witch Mother gives the sisters their iconic spellbook. She also warns against using a particular spell, which becomes a key plot point later in the film when an adult Winifred casts the forbidden spell with dire consequences for her sisters.
Though the Witch Mother didn’t get a ton of screen time in the Hocus Pocus sequel, her importance to the Sanderson sisters’ story and her iconic look make the character a fun addition to your Funko collection. (Also, I’m personally campaigning for the Witch Mother to return and play a more significant role in Hocus Pocus 3. But that’s just me.)
The Hocus Pocus 2 Witch Mother Funko Pop! Figure is a Funko exclusive. So, you’ll need to order yours directly from the Funko site before supplies run out. The figure costs $15.
In addition to the Witch Mother, Funko also revealed an extended lineup of Hocus Pocus 2 Pops. These include each of the Sanderson sisters (Winifred, Sarah, and Mary), as well as the “new generation” characters Cassie, Becca, Izzy, and Gilbert. These figures aren’t Funko exclusives, so you can find them both on Funko.com and at other retailers like Amazon and Entertainment Earth.
