The Starz horror comedy series Shining Vale will officially return for season 2 this fall. And the show scared up an appropriately spooky premiere date: Friday, October 13.
The first season of Shining Vale introduced Pat and Terry Phelps, a dysfunctional family that tried to run from their problems by moving their kids into a Victorian mansion in small-town Connecticut. The only problem? It may be haunted. Pat soon found herself periodically possessed by a demon, Rosemary, resulting in her family committing her to a psychiatric hospital.
Season 2 picks up four months later. After Pat’s insurance runs out, she’s released from the hospital early. Determined to pick up the pieces of her broken family, she quickly finds out her children don’t need her, Terry doesn’t remember her, and to make matters worse, Pat’s new neighbor Ruth looks exactly like Rosemary. Meanwhile, the house starts to reveal the shocking secrets of its dark past.

Shining Vale stars Courteney Cox as Pat, Greg Kinnear as Terry, and Mira Sorvino as Rosemary. The series also stars Gus Birney, Merrin Dungey, and Dylan Gage, and features Emmy Award nominees Judith Light, Allison Tolman, and Sherilyn Fenn. The show comes from co-creators and executive producers Jeff Astroff and Sharon Horgan.
Fans can stream the return of Shining Vale on Friday, October 13 at midnight on the Starz app and on-demand platforms in the US. (UK and Ireland viewers can stream on Lionsgate+.) The premiere will also air on linear cable on the Starz channel at 9pm ET/PT on October 13.
