The story of SAW X comes full circle for the franchise. We’ve all seen a SAW movie at some point. I started with SAW II, others might be different. However, we’re at the tenth entry in the franchise now. It sure looks like Lionsgate has plenty of faith in this movie because they’re moving the release date for the upcoming entry up a full month. SAW X will now release in theaters on September 29th, 2023. Check out the first-look image at Tobin Bell in his return as Jigsaw below.

Here’s the synopsis for SAW X.

John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the Saw franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.

The movie comes from Director Kevin Greutert and was written by Peter Goldfinger & Josh Stolberg.

We’ll have to see how the movie turns out, but this sure is a huge act of faith in the movie by Lionsgate.
