The film begins with the band’s formation in 1981. George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley met at school and began singing together in local clubs. They soon caught the attention of record label executives, and WHAM was born. The band’s first album, Fantastic, was released in 1983 and was a huge success. The album spawned the hit singles “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Careless Whisper.” WHAM quickly became one of the most popular bands in the world.

The band’s second album, Make It Big, was even more successful than their first. The album included the hit singles “I’m Your Man” and “Everything She Wants.” WHAM was now at the height of its fame. However, the band’s success came at a price. The constant touring and pressure to perform took a toll on the band members. In 1986, WHAM announced their breakup.

The documentary explores the reasons for the band’s breakup in detail. It also looks at the band members’ individual careers after WHAM. George Michael went on to have a successful solo career, while Andrew Ridgeley retired from the music industry.
