Evil Dead Rise was a massive success story of a movie. It broke the chains of being just a ‘streaming’ movie and got a full theatrical release. The Lee Cronin-directed film was a hit at the box office when it released earlier this year. Now, Evil Dead Rise is making its way to Max beginning on June 23rd. It’ll also be hitting Blu-ray and 4K UHD on June 27th.

The film earned over $146 million at the worldwide box office, showing that horror still has a big following and the ability to earn massive amounts of money at the box office.

Evil Dead Rise stars Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland. It also features Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher. It was produced by franchise stewards Rob Tapert, Sam Raimi, and Bruce Campbell. If you haven’t seen Evil Dead Rise, here’s a synopsis.

In Evil Dead Rise, the action moves out of the woods and into the city, and tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.
