The new Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown game seems to be trying to pack as much action as it can into it. This is fairly impressive given that this upcoming action-adventure game seems to basically be a 2D Hades but if it was a Prince of Persia game. Don’t believe me? Then why not check out their new reveal gameplay trailer for yourself below, and revel in the HD 2D gameplay?

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown ~ Details

Is it just me, or does the art style remind anyone else of Fortnite?

Ubisoft is proud to announce Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown via that reveal gameplay trailer above on YouTube for Summer Games Fest. Said trailer does exactly what it says on the tin, and shows you what the gameplay is like. As it turns out: the game is basically a 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up video game. True, the game has impressive stylized graphics, but that’s basically what the gameplay itself boils down to.

It’s not a bad gameplay style for this game, to be honest. Hades seems to have a similar style of combat, albeit with a lot more gameplay options and with a 2.5D world rather than the 2D one this latest Prince of Persia game is adopting. Ubisoft claims that this is a 2.5D game, but the gameplay trailer seems to suggest a more 2D approach to combat than Hades did.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will release on January 18, 2024. That means Ubisoft has a year to show us if this game is any good. Tune back in to THS later to find out more Prince of Persia or Ubisoft news when we do.
