Welcome to CinemaCon 2023! The convention you’ve never heard of until now and that you won’t get to watch anything shown off at it. Today, we’ve got Paramount, and their film slate includes Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Killers of the Flower Moon.

We’ll be updating this thread with information from the floor!

The first film up is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. There’s a half-pipe on stage, and a Paramount Executive rises out of a manhole cover in a turtle mask with pizza for the CinemaCon crowd.

Paramount CEO Brian Robbins says that theatrical needs to thrive in order for streaming to work.

Robbins also says that Smile 2 is in the works. Scream VI was the highest-grossing film in the entire franchise.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 got the loudest reaction when Robbins listed some of the films Paramount is releasing in 2024.

The Presentation Actually Begins

Seth Rogen then took the stage to talk about TMNT: Mutant Mayhem. He said ‘TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM’ is his first film that he has made that you can take your kids to.

They’re showing extended footage of Mutant Mayhem to the crowd.

The new footage has April asking if the Turtles will be accepted as heroes, April also references Gru & Megamind when talking about the villains they are facing.

They announced a new animated prequel called Transformers One. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, Keegan-Michael Key, Jon Hamm, and Laurence Fishburne and it hits theaters in July 2024.

They also announced a Smurfs movie starring Rihanna as Smurfette. The Smurfs releases in theaters in 2025. A Spongebob Squarepants movie is also heading to theaters in 2025. The Smurfs will be directed by Chris Miller.

‘SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: THE SEARCH FOR SQUAREPANTS’ is promised to be the biggest SpongeBob film yet. The film goes to the deepest depths of the ocean where SpongeBob will face off against the Flying Dutchman.

More Movies Shown Off At CinemaCon 2023

Ramsey Naito announces an Avatar: The Last Airbender animated movie coming next year. “This movie will blow you away.”

The film follows Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph all in their adult age. The group looks like they’re in their late 20s to early 30s.

The first trailer for Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is being shown. Chris Rock is in the cast. Kim Kardashian and her kids, North and Saint, are among the stars of the new movie.

Up next is footage of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The clips showed off gave us a look at a big battle sequence between the Autobots and Decepticons.

Killers of the Flower Moon is getting its first footage shown now. Director Martin Scorsese had this to say: “This is a big screen movie and that’s what we made, as you’ll see.”

Our reporter on the ground had this to say: “WOW! That footage was incredible. Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon will debut in theaters this October. The performances and filmmaking look simply incredible.”

The audience also got a quick view of Brendan Fraser in the trailer.

Paramount Brings Out Even More Films

A Bob Marley biopic was announced with Ziggy Marley producing. It’s titled Bob Marley: One Love it releases in theaters on January 12, 2024.

John Krasinski is now on stage to show off footage from A Quiet Place: Day One. The film follows Lupita Nyong’o as a mother trying to survive following the alien invasion. Joseph Quinn and Alex Wolff also star.

Krasinski also showed off If, a family film that combines animation and live-action characters. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carrell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fiona Shaw, Cailey Fleming, and Alan S. Kim. It follows a little girl who can start seeing imaginary friends of the kids who left them behind. The main imaginary friend is voiced by Steve Carell.

Now it’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One time. The new trailer is being shown. The movie is now releasing two days early on July 12th, 2023.
