This is one Star Wars fans have been waiting anxiously for. Today, at STAR WARS Celebration in London, Disney+ and Lucasfilm unveiled the thrilling teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Disney+ original series Ahsoka. Starring Rosario Dawson in the title role. Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy, Ahsoka will debut exclusively on Disney+ in August 2023. Keep reading for a look at the new trailer and poster for the series. Be sure to keep following us here at That Hashtag Show as more news is revealed at Star Wars Celebration.

The trailer is full of amazing scenes that will leave Star Wars fans excited for Ahsoka this fall. We get a look at Sabine, Hera, Chopper, and even Thrawn. It also appears The Magistrate (Diana Lee Inosanto) who appeared in The Mandalorian is also returning. The trailer also features a few, presumably dark side force users. if the trailer is any indication, the new series certainly appears to be full of action. I’d be remiss not to mention one very specific line that Star Wars Legends fans will certainly appreciate, “I started hearing whispers, about Thrawn’s return, as heir to the Empire”. As Legends fans know, Heir to the Empire, was the critically acclaimed 1991 novel by Timothy Zahn that introduced Thrawn to the Star Wars universe.

In addition to Dawson, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The trailer also provides a glimpse of Thrawn but does not reveal his face or voice, which will keep fans still guessing at who will play the infamous Chiss.
