The star of Grease and on the music charts, Olivia Newton-John has died at the age of 73. Her husband John Easterling, confirmed that she died peacefully surrounded by her family in Southern California. She had breast cancer for more than 30 years and fought it into remission twice, but it came back in 2017.

She rose up the music charts in the ’70s with tracks like “If Not For You” and “Let Me Be There” but her biggest break came in 1978 with the release of the musical, Grease. Alongside John Travolta, they took the world by storm. Her role as Sandy in the film is one of the most iconic film performances ever. The movie gave us tracks like “You’re the One That I Want”, “Summer Nights”, and “Hopelessly Devoted To You”.

However, her biggest musical hit didn’t come until 1981 with the track “Physical”. The accompanying music video and song went #1 on the charts for an unprecedented at the time 10 weeks.
