The Artist Erik Scoggan

Erik Scoggan is a graphic artist from Southern California who was raised on superhero cartoons, junk food, and ‘The Far Side’ comics. Utilizing pop art and surrealist influences, the tone of his work gravitates towards the off-centered and humorous.

“In a continuation of the One-Scoops series, I wanted to bring a surrealist element to the iconic Power Rangers characters in ice cream form. When I was growing up, I always thought they had the coolest helmet designs, and it’s fun to imagine what they would look like if they were melting out in the sun on a hot, Angel Grove, day. I’d like to think they’d sell these at that ‘Gym and Juice Bar’ those teenagers always seem to be hanging out in every episode.”
