For those that haven’t seen The Batman, this has spoilers for a character’s appearance later in the film.

The Batman director Matt Reeves has released a longer look at the appearance of The Joker in the film. Watch it above! Eternals star Barry Keoghan played The Joker in a cameo scene near the end of the film. He and Paul Dano‘s The Riddler become cell neighbors and talk to one another. In the extended scene, we get a much longer look at who The Joker is. It’s Robert Pattinson‘s Batman trying to get information on The Riddler.

It’s a wonder why this scene was cut, but it does make sense to keep the film’s focus on The Riddler and not take away from that with The Joker. Whether or not he’s the focus of the sequel to The Batman, this gives us the best look at The Joker in Matt Reeves’ universe.

The Batman is still in theaters and releases on HBO Max on April 19th, 2022.
