You know what Bruce Wayne really needs in the upcoming The Batman film? A pizza from Little Caesars. I mean, why else would they make a special Bat-Pizza as a promotion?

I Am The Pepperoni, I Am The Cheese, I Am…Bat-Pizza!

The Batman Calzony.
Too bad it only vaguely resembles the Batman symbol, although I appreciate the effort.

So, this promotional pizza from Little Caesars isn’t actually the Bat-Pizza. According to their official press release on PR Newswire, the official name of the pizza is the Batman Calzony. As the name and the picture above implies, this pizza is actually the weird hybrid of pizza and calzone. All this for the sake of promoting The Batman. So, incase you’re wondering what’s on this vaguely Batman symbol-shaped pizza-calzone I got you. It consists of “buttery-tasting, calzone crust filled with garlic white sauce, cheese, and julienned pepperoni, combined with a pepperoni pizza and served with a side of Crazy Sauce®”. Which…actually doesn’t sound that bad. I wouldn’t mind getting one just for the taste alone, even leaving aside the novelty.

“Anyone can now bring superhero vibes to pizza night by trying the new The Batman Calzony. It’s the most delicious part of our partnership with the upcoming film The Batman.”

Jeff Klein, chief marketing officer at Little Caesars

The Batman Calzony will be available from Little Caesars for $7.99 starting on January 24, 2022. You can place orders for it directly from Little Caesars’ official website or you can arrange to pick up the pizza, or have it be delivered to your doorstep. Your choice. Unfortunately, Bruce Wayne will not deliver your pizza, so you’re going to have to content yourself with an overworked Little Caesars’ employee.

The Batman: Details

Hmm, a Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle shipping story? I can dig it.

The Batman by Matt Reeves is the latest film incarnation of the caped crusader. The film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on March 4, 2022. If you want to watch it, you can catch it then. That is, assuming that no other COVID-19 hijinks ensue.

As for what the film is about? Possibly, as you enjoy your Batman Calzony? You can read the official synopsis (taken from Comic Book) below:

“[After] two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.

When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”
